Clinical Acupuncture and 'Battlefield Acupuncture'

Acupuncture has been in use for thousands of years and when practiced by qualified professionals is very safe. It is used to treat an enormous variety of clinical conditions. We specialise in Clinical Acupuncture using a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) knowledge and Western Acupuncture methods to ensure treatments work optimally for you the client. Acupuncture needles are sterile, single use and they are incredibly fine. Most people do not report pain during acupuncture due to the needles being so fine and for many, rapid symptomatic relief is common. Others may require longer courses of treatment. This is always discussed prior to commencement of treatment.

Certain acupuncture treatments also involve Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage) and Electro-acupuncture which can greatly enhance the effectiveness of therapy. 

'Battlefield Acupuncture' is a modern treatment for a variety of conditions and was originally invented and developed by Dr. Richard Niemtzow (US Air Force, Retired). It uses tiny needles that look like ear studs (see below). This treatment gives a rapid and highly effective form of pain relief in a majority of patients. The level of pain reduction can be highly significant and has been shown to be long lasting in many patients. It is so effective that it gets the name Battlefield Acupuncture as Dr. Niemtzow designed the original protocol for use in trauma patients on the battlefield. Acupuncture/Acupressure sessions are priced at £30 for a 45 - 60 minute therapy session.

Electro-acupuncture and Tui Na massage (where appropriate) are included in this price.
