Prerequisites: A&P & body massage qualifications (min level 3)

Qualification Gained: ABT Accredited Clinical Wellness Academy Pregnancy Massage Practitioner

This qualification will enable you to obtain professional insurance

During the course you will learn:

• Pregnancy Anatomy and Physiology

• Pregnancy trimesters
• History of pregnancy massage
• Benefits of massage during pregnancy and labour

• Contraindications and precautions

• Common health problems in pregnancy

• Consultation and preparation

• Massage mediums
• Positioning and draping
• Pregnancy massage routine
• Contra-actions
• Aftercare

Students will be emailed pre-course theory and assessment documents which students must complete and bring with them on the day of training. Please contact us if you do not receive this email within a week prior to your training date. It is essential that students read this and answer the pre-course reading questions.

Case studies: Following the course you will also be required to carry out 3 case studies on clients performing a minimum of 1 treatment on each client.

Certificates will be posted once these case studies have been assessed and marked.
